Shame on me!
On wednesday I had bought some (4) cute princess hearts for Valentine's day for the girls to share with their playgroup friends. I had also bought 2 for themselves, and I let them pick out which ones they'd like. I then put them away as they were for Valentine's day. I had a total of 6 hearts but thought I only had 5. So when I came back in the kitchen and found 4 hearts, I knew they had taken the 2 hearts, and sure enough they were not in the location I had put them (so I thought). So I asked the girls who had taken them and if they could give them back to keep for saturday. Well, 'mom, it must have been a ghost, Sofia saw something white'. Well, that of course didn't satisfy me, so I told them they had to go to their rooms for lying until they could tell me the truth. A few minutes later Lilian came out and said that she thought she might have done it???!!!??. So the doer had to find the 2 hearts and give it back. Nowhere to be found, so back into their room. Next, Sofia came out telling me it was really her who had done it and sorry for lying. But she couldn't find the heart either, so I told her that her playdates had to leave if she kept lying (I was 'nice' enough to tell the playdates that they could play with Lilian downstairs until Sofia came out of her room). Then to my horror I found the hearts in a completely different cupboard then the one I thought I had placed the hearts in, and remembered that I in fact had placed them where I found them. I felt like an evil witch by now so I ran to Sofia and told her how sorry I was that I had accused her of something that I did myself, and if she could forgive me. She was soooooooooooo happy that she hadn't done it, that she threw herself around me and gave me the biggest hug ever. She was sooooooo relieved, it was kind of sad. I honestly think she thought that 'there is trouble so I must have done it'. We went to the other kids together and I explained to all of them what happened and apologized for being mean to them. They had a fun afternoon after that. Shame on me!

Dagmar! That's the cutest, funniest, saddest story ever. how cute that they were totally willing to admit to it. and, the fact that they tried to blame it on a ghost b/c they saw something white- thats hilarious.

This is such a funny story! Its so Sofia and Lilian...I can't believe how smart they are. I can't wait to see you guys in a few days! I let the girls watch the video of Jasper laughing and they loved it...can't wait to meet him!
